Yes I know that newspaper endorsements don't matter, but we always have a thread on them and some have already started making declarations:

Houston Chronicle Endorses Clinton - Only the 2nd time since 1964 they have endorsed a Democrat (08 was the other year)

New York Daily News Endorses Clinton

Washington Post Anti-Endorses Trump

No surprise on WaPo, Trump's been outright antagonistic towards them. They'll probably endorse Clinton near election day but I think we should make three sections for now: Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump and Not Donald Trump.

That's not surprising to me. Houston's large Hispanic population would've boycotted the paper had they endorsed Trump.

Just for reference, this is how the top 100 (circulation) papers endorsed in 2012

http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/data/2012_newspaper_endorsements.php

The Houston Chronicle is the first switcher as it endorsed Romney in 2012

I seriously wonder. I think the Dispatch will go "no endorsement". It'll never back Hillary , but is too close to Kasich and respectable to go for Trump.

Interesting that the New York Daily News supported Romney, seeing as all the headlines I've seen from them have been viciously anti republican.

I'm going to guess that the Chicago Tribune will endorse a Democrat for the 3rd cycle in a row...after endorsing only Republican POTUS candidates for over 100 years.

The NY Daily News beat them to it.  They endorsed Clinton on July 28, and Romney in 2012.

I'm really interested in reading any major newspaper that endorses Trump, if one exists.

This. The only question in my mind for the Columbus Dispatch is whether they'll go "No Endorsement" over Clinton. Which would still be the first time since 1912 they haven't endorsed the Republican.

I would agree. Their editorial board is definitely not Trump people.

Definitely indeed. They're Kasich-types. Word was in 2008 they were so disenchanted with W, that there was serious consideration of endorsing Obama. They held to McCain, though.

Sorry, I failed to notice Whitesox was talking about the Tribune. I was still talking about the Columbus Dispatch.

Definitely time to slow on the bourbon. Tongue

I'm not sure if this should go here, since it's not really a newspaper, but Wired magazine has endorsed Clinton.  They haven't made an endorsement in previous elections.

I guess I could see them going "No Endorsement," but I think they'll end up sticking with Trump.  They're simply that partisan.  It'll be a hilariously unenthusiastic "endorsement" though.

Johnson may get more newspaper endorsements than Trump does.
