Clinton 8
Johnson 4
None 2
Trump 0

I'll keep posting these running totals unless there's some objection to doing so; I'm interested in it and figured others may be too.

I'd be interested in a table showing Obama/Romney/Johnson/None/Total across the top and Clinton/Trump/Johnson/None/Total on the side.  Feel free to remove the Johnson/None columns if nobody was making those endorsements in '12.

Here's a table template with fake numbers.
*ObamaRomneyJohnsonNoneTotal
Clinton62008
Trump00000
Johnson04004
None11002
Total760014

I don't know how to add cell borders or row coloring but that would make it better.

Freedom Article. While I think Trump needs to be shown for what he is: A liar, a bigot, and a fraud, we can't let him and his supporters define Hillary Clinton. This election has to about how she is prepared to be president, not merely how Trump isn't prepared.

Portland Press Herald (ME) endorses Clinton:

http://www.pressherald.com/2016/09/25/our-view-hillary-clinton-is-our-choice-for-president/

The endorsement was also mirrored by some other Maine papers such as Kennebec Journal:

http://www.centralmaine.com/2016/09/25/our-opinion-hillary-clinton-is-our-choice-for-president/

It looks like the Press Herald didn't endorse in 2012 (http://munjoyhillnews.bangordailynews.com/2012/10/12/uncategorized/portland-press-herald-not-to-endorse-political-candidates-this-fall-new-policy-in-place/).

The current running total is:

Clinton 9
Johnson 4
None 2
Trump 0

Broken down by 2012 endorsement:

Clinton 9 (Obama 4, Romney 4, None 1)
Johnson 4 (Obama 1, Romney 2, Unknown 1)
None 2 (Romney 1, None 1)
Trump 0

Did the Wall street Journal or any other big conservative paper made endorsements yet?

NH Union Leader, long a conservative bastion, endorsed Johnson.  The Dallas Morning News, another staunch Republican paper, endorsed Clinton.

The WSJ doesn't do presidential endorsements (or at least not in recent years). Of the top 100 papers in the US there are 11 that endorsed the Republican in the last 3 elections.

New York Post
The Dallas Morning News
The Arizona Republic (Phoenix)
The San Diego Union-Tribune
Las Vegas Review-Journal
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (Little Rock)
Investor’s Business Daily (Los Angeles)
The Cincinnati Enquirer
The Columbus (OH) Dispatch
Omaha World-Herald

Of that list only 2 have endorsed so far this year and both endorsed Clinton (Dallas Morning News and Cincinnati Enquirer). Trump will probably get some endorsements from this list  (NYPost, Las Vegas Review Journal, Investors Business Daily, Omaha World-Herald and maybe a couple more)

A hometown tabloid rag like the Post I could see, but the others? IBJ would never want the economic ramifications of Trump in the Oval Office. I'm not that familiar with the others. What about their Editorial Board is so crazy they'd choose Trump over Johnson or no one?

At this point, I'd be honestly surprised if a newspaper actually endorsed Trump.

Nice editorial. They actually praised Clinton's experience and not just bashed Trump. You can see that it pains them to do so but good for them for doing it.

disagree. I think Dispatch will go no none of the above. if they endorse Trump it will kill circulation even more.

Surprizingly, the comments section seems to be dominated by those supporting their stance. That in Dallas Morning News looked very different.

Historic. Hopefully this coupled with the debate leads to a shift toward Clinton in Arizona.

Is the Republic that influential?

Strictly speaking, Trump does have ONE endorsement.  The Santa Barbara News Press (CA) endorsed him back in June.  Not sure if they will stick with it now though.

Here you go - you can see the endorsement headline, but to read it you have to register:

http://www.newspress.com/Top/Article/article.jsp?Section=EDITORIALS&ID=567560425525346324

Also note that the News Press is somewhat "controversial":

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Barbara_News-Press_controversy

But, it is an endorsement.
