Yes I know that newspaper endorsements don't matter, but we always have a thread on them and some have already started making declarations:

Houston Chronicle Endorses Clinton - Only the 2nd time since 1964 they have endorsed a Democrat (08 was the other year)

New York Daily News Endorses Clinton

Washington Post Anti-Endorses Trump

Tulsa World endorses None Of The Above

Trump "has brought out the worst of America,"

First time not endorsing a Republican in decades.

Not shocking, but:

Los Angeles Times: Hillary Clinton would make a sober, smart and pragmatic president. Donald Trump would be a catastrophe.

Detroit News, a major Michigan daily, comes out with an endorsement for Johnson, rebuking both Trump and Clinton:

I believe that in 2012 they endorsed Romney.

I believe they are another paper that has only endorserd Republicans during their existence.

Most of the comments are generally supportive too.

Rachel Maddow just said that the Santa Barbara News Post endorsed Trump. First to do so.

IIRC the Santa Barbara News Post has a very dodgy history.

This was already discussed, long before Rachel Maddow heard Smiley, (page 4 of this thread) and it was decided that the News Press endorsement is probably more of a primary one. The link is below:

The picture that they showed had many more endorsements. Like they were endorsing Sanchez for the Senate.

Not surprising if you know their history with Trump, but the Des Moines Register endorses Clinton

Isn't this the first Democratic Presidential endorsement by the Omaha World Herald in like a billion years ?

Since 1932 to be exact.

And BTW, it seems like Trump got his first endorsement!

Not his first.  He was also endorsed by the Santa Barbara News Press (see discussion upthread).

He was also endorsed by The National Enquirer

In the biggest surprise of the cycle, The New Yorker will be endorsing Clinton
