Interestingly, for me, my mental WS stereotype is a tone-deaf middle-aged WASP in a nice suit, which I think is accurate, though obviously jews are disproportionately represented on WS now that I think about it.

To answer the question, no, though it is obviously an element for some.  Bottom line is that, while good financial professionals are necessary, Wall Street deserves the hate it gets, and should probably get more.

Not many of the problems of 07-08 have been fixed, and WS needs a cop to police it to prevent crashes and promote competition (or at least one that it isn't bribing).
