New York Post front-page: Melania nude pictures (Warning)

Initially, I thought the pics were fakes, but the article actually mentions the photographer by name and even includes a quote from Trump.

Do you consider this story important? On one hand, these pics are old, and Melania isn't running for President. On the other hand, the GOP claims to be the party of religion and tradition, which can make Trump's candidacy a form of hypocrisy.

Is this a despicable act by a magizine that has no class? Yes.

It's a factual story though, and the article even includes some favorable quotations from the photographer:

“Melania was super-great and a fantastic personality and she was very kind with me,” de Basseville told The Post, adding the former model never once felt uncomfortable posing for the nude pictures.

“I think it is important to show the beauty and the freedom of the woman, and I am very proud of these pictures because they celebrate Melania’s beauty,” he said.

This kind of thing will really hurt him among the social conservatives, especially the religious types, thinking Mormons for instance.

I know it's factual, but last time I checked Melania Trump wasn't running for president and it's not illegal to have nude pictures of yourself taken. We all know the reason this paper is putting this on their front page isn't because it's factual. It's because it's provocative and it's done to make people think less of the Trumps.

Personally, I couldn't care less if she made porn videos. The most disgusting thing she has ever done isn't porn - it's marrying Donald Trump.

Besides, no one who isn't already voting for Trump would let that sway their vote. If it becomes a big issue, then it might drive away some Mormons and Evangelicals. But I imagine the people in those groups with a set of non-hypocritical morals and a conscience never supported him anyway.

The NY Post has pretty much been in Trump's corner 100%. I think they're actually trying to appeal to the "uneducated voters" as Trump calls them

Pointing at the age of these pictures is the best damage control for the Trump campaign . Admit, in other words, that she posed nude with the clear caveat that she is, today, a wiser, more faithful person who would never do it again.

To say that these pictures are a boon or a non factor is incorrect because of the Republican base (ie religious folks). To proceed as smoothly as possinle, they need to acknowledge both the veracity and wrongfulness of these pictures.
