I'm not a big fan of letters or words on flags, but othersie it is quite good.  ( I guess Im a bit of a hipocrite for using years on my third option, but those are numbers

Hmm, not bad. Kinda reminds me of Cuba though

I hope I dont offend any southerners, but I also saw the Southeast flag, and I dont like really like it. Couldn't they have picked the confederate flag or something (LOL)

All kidding a side, I would like to move away from the Red white and blue cliche of regional flags. When I designed my version, I took a look at the state flags in our region, and most of them had blue backgrounds, and all of them used at least blue gold or white. I incorporated those three colours in the flag. Red may be my favourite colour, but I dont think it is a colour of our region.

The only problem with your flag's, Earl, is that I don't want the Northeast to have a flag like Cyprus. I don't really like the idea of putting a map on the flag and it kinda makes it seem rather hokey. I remember a sight in which all world flags were rated and Cyprus' flag got a very low rating because of the map. Out of your three maps though I like the colour scheme in number two the best.

Well, with the right colouring, one can make a map look nice. Cyprus' gold and white combo is kinda cheesy. But blue and gold screams "Northeast!" I wouldn't object to replacing the map with some sort of a seal if someone is willing to create one, however.
