The Republican primary is going to be a real cluster -- DeWine, Taylor, and Husted all have their eyes on the Governors' Mansion. DeWine is the best known, but that's both a blessing and a curse. Taylor is likely to have Kasich's backing, but that's, again, both a blessing and a curse.

Several other candidates may run as well. Democrats will run Connie Pillich if they're essentially throwing this one away, and will recruit Richard Cordray or Betty Sutton if they hope to actually compete. Tim Ryan, as always, is a pipe dream.
