As most of us know, Meg Whitman and Hanna have both endorsed Clinton. Most other #NeverTrump Republicans have refused to endorse either candidate. Between now and November, will any other #NeverTrump Republican end up endorsing Clinton?

I expect Congressman Chris Gibson of New York to join his fellow comrade Richard Hanna soon. Beyond a few straggling moderates who probably should've left the party, though, I don't see there being a massive movement.

One name I would be surprised to see is Susan Collins. For all her worship as a moderate, she is a much stronger partisan than even some to the right of her on policy like McCain or Paul. She'll probably be as quiet as possible, but won't be for Clinton.

Yes, there is a 100% chance that at least one other Republican will endorse Clinton.

Whitman doesn’t currently hold any political office.  If we’re counting Republicans who don’t currently hold any political office, then plenty of others have already endorsed Clinton, including Arne Carlson, Larry Pressler, Brent Scowcroft, and Hank Paulson.

And in fact, as I noted in the #NeverTrump thread, when Carson endorsed Clinton, he said that he thought Trump was mentally ill, and when Pressler endorsed her, he compared Trump supporters to Nazis:

Unless they, like Hanna, are retiring, too, I don't think any other incumbent Republican congressman will jump ship because as much as some Republicans are appalled by Trump, their innate hatred of Hillary Clinton is much, much greater. Any sitting Republican running for reelection who endorses her will have his or her political obituary written and will be primaried.

We'll definitely see more Republicans coming out for Clinton, but I doubt we'll see any who aren't retiring endorse her.

No doubt.

Yes, for a number of reasons:
-There is a lot of time between now and November
-Trump is, summarily, getting worse and worse faster and faster
-It's widely reported that Clinton is actively ad aggressively courting disaffected, high-level Republicans

So, I would imagine there are several more defections before all is said and done.

Within what bands of public support do people think Republicans would shift to Clinton? I think that the status quo (Clinton up by 5-10%) is almost the least likely to see voters shift to her.

If Trump continues to crash further we might see it happen.

Obviously, I would be very pleased if a high level Utah Republican jumped to Clinton. That could well swing the state, especially with Johnson on the ballot.

Lindsay Graham, Jeff Flake and all of the above may endorse Gary Johnson... Hillary might be a bridge too far.

Why?  If they care about their party, which most do, the right thing to do is to stay and fight for the moderate wing.  The more of a voice it has, the more influence it will exert.  Leaving the party silences their voice within it, obviously.  These many Republicans refusing to endorse Trump aren't becoming Democrats for a reason, too.

They should all endorse Gary Johnson if they value real small government as Rs claim to believe in.
