Isn't this a bit redundant? Wouldn't somebody have to be in the age of majority to consent in the first place?

My amendment is simply to ensure that there is no question whatsoever as to the intent or meaning of the bill, and leaves no room at all for questioning the meaning, and so that this part of the bill is completely unambiguous.

But it is up to the Senate as to whether they see fit in their collective wisdom if this amendment is necessary or not.

I myself am but a humble citizen of Atlasia, and I no longer occupy the halls of power.

We seem to have passed/amended this bill countless amounts of time. I don't agree with my good friend Winfield that law in its old version would allow for underage marriage.
