This is probably about right. Even in a big Clinton win nationally, it would be tough to get above a 6 point win head to head because Florida will be contested to the end

I think Rubio is ahead though. Murphy got some bad press for exaggerating his resume and Grayson has domestic abuse issues on top of all his baggage so the Dem primary looks like a mess

Anyone take a look at the internals... race/ethnicity looks solid. Not sure on age.

A lot of Clinton-Rubio voters too so this poll is essentially saying the race would be virtually deadlocked with a GOP candidate who did not crater with Cuban voters like Trump

538 seems to suggest that Suffolk has a 3-4 point GOP bias, at least in PA. That would put this poll very closely in line with national averages.

One area that Hillary can clobber Trump with is the concern that Floridians have with Zika virus. An overwhelming majority of citizens claim to be very or somewhat concerned, yet Trump states Gov. Scott has it "under control."

Further, Suffolk leans Rep, so a 6 point head to head lead for Hillary is actually quite large.

Florida mosquito season will be long over by election time. Even if there are ongoing cases once the main danger has passed it won't register as a serious issue for voters.

There's no chance of Florida going for Hillary by 8; the GOP base in the state just won't bend that far. If she wins by 8 nationwide I'd expect her to win FL by 5 or 6 at most.

Florida will be tight all the way, but Hillary will win it by 2-3 points.

Ironically, the significant and overflow Hispanic support Hillary is getting will spill Rubio's way.

Except for NC and MA, the latest state polls indicate that Hillary is ahead by about 6-10 nationally right now.

For Florida, one week after the DNC and after trump's Kahn debacle, a Clinton +4 or +6 looks right-on-the-money to me.

This is likely to stick. You simply do not insult the combat dead.

Wasn't Suffolk the polling firm that stopped polling Florida in October in 2012 because they declared that it was Safe Romney?

It was Suffolk who stopped polling NC, VA and FL because they were in the bag for Romney? And MD released that stinker of a poll that had FL as R+6.

So how is it going to get better?

George Herbert Walker Bush's campaign simply pounded the "Willie Horton" ad into us. It worked to tear down an early Dukakis lead. This time it is to keep Donald Trump from ever getting a lead.

Obama is to Reagan as Hillary Clinton is to GHW Bush... almost.

Yeah, if Florida is D+4 but the nation is D+10, then that means Florida is six points right to the nation as a whole! #SafeR
