this, Wilson is a bad person but his presidency wasn't 100% terrible. Hoover is probably a good guy but his presidency was actually really terrible.

Sure, but it was the Wilson-Harding-Hoover policies that caused the Depression. He accelerated the rise of Hoover after Wilson began it. It was a combination of Harding and Hoover's economic and trade policy alongside Wilson's economic policies besides the Federal Reserve that helped start the bubbles of the Boom.
