Great news! Though I suppose it could be similar to the congressional remap where changes only minimally benefitted Democrats.

Great news! Though I suppose it could be similar to the congressional remap where changes only minimally benefitted Democrats.

Lucky for us that we will have at least 18 months to challenge the new maps, should they still be gerrymandered badly, before the next midterm. At this point, I think the best we can hope for is getting maps that allow us to deprive NC Republicans of a supermajority.

The constitutional decision would be to abolish the forced gerrymandering because of the unconstitutional mandate forced upon the Southern states. So no this is not good news.
