Every time a woman was on the ticket as the V.P. pick the candidates were defeated. Can Hillary break this streak?

Even people who aren't supporting Hillary should acknowledge that there's nothing wrong with having a female president.

I think Hillary will win but I think the answer to your question is no. We are an extremely patriarchal society and I honestly think the Republicans blew their shot by nominating Trump, not because Hillary is so flawed but because she is not a man.

I do believe that it will happen, but maybe in 2024.

There is a ton wrong with people who insist on buying into the gender binary scam.

We've been ready for a woman president for a long time now..  Hillary would have won in 2008 if she was the nominee.

I'd like to think so, and I think there is a fair amount of evidence that that is the case. But I wouldn't be surprised if, like after President Obama's election in 2008, we see an angry backlash from the troglodytes in our society. We were ready as a country to elect a president who was black in 2008, but only just. We turned out to be not nearly as ready as I had hoped we were at the time.

Yes, absolutely.

But even if Hillary would lose in 2016 (say against another GOP nominee with a chance), but would happen soner or later anyway.

Yes, the U.S. is ready for the first woman President.

It is extremely unfortunate, however, that it has to be that woman, who most voters believe is untrustworthy, but the other choice is no better.

More so than we're ready for any of the following:

•First president to go bankrupt 4 times
•First orange president
•First president to issue a veiled death threat against his major-party opposition
•First non-conservative Republican president in at least 36 years
•First openly racist president in decades
•First president to openly advocate discrimination based on religion

Not disagreeing but to be fair, even John Kerry could've won in 2008.

You realize a large chunk of these opinions are mostly conditioned by gender, right?

We have never had a woman come so close to the presidency before. She has been on the radar for years and she's still taking a bruising. I imagine people will be going on about the same "trust issues" and "likability problems" of the next serious female contender for the office of the president, too.

Maybe America as a whole is, or isn't, but those of us who are not ready will learn to deal with it.
