Okay, I'll take D14, or if we can have three D15 as well.
I'll call D14 Hawaiian Mainland and D15 HI Mainland North. Tongue

I don't think we should allow 3, two is enough. I have a feeling many players will have 3 or more not long after the game starts.

Oh, yeah, call District 52 The High Plateau.

For my second territory, add District 50, and call it Little Texas.

If I get a third territory, add District 49, and call it the Bootheel Steppes.

Yes, I know I mentioned District 51 before, but it's the poorest and least populated NM district! It can wait. Smiley

+D131, please Smiley

Oops, as far as District names, D132 is Wayne, D131 is Little Illinois Smiley

And the country name is still the Socialist Republic of Roosevelt Grin

The map has been updated.

Gabu, I'm afraid that Injustice Ernest is right; he did claim that district before you, so you need to pick another please. Smiley

More War Costs and Rules:

#1: Base cost of war is $45,000,000 per day plus (100 x # of military units).
#2: If your territory is seized, while in exile you collect 50% of your former daily budget.
#3: Newly conquered neutral territories take 3 days to assimilate; meaning that they produce at half capacity and produce no military units during this time. Non-neutral territories will take 5 days.
#4: If two parts of your territory are seperated, the territory not containing the capital will begin to fall away from you. You will have 20 days to re-establish borders with this territory before it becomes neutral.
#5: You can buy neutral territory at a cost of (population x 1000). Each individual can buy up to three territories per month.
#6: Each territory must have at least one base per territory. Keep in mind strategic locations; this is where your armies will be stationed.

Military Base: $1,000,000 per day for each
Defensive Wall: $25,000 per mile per day; 5,000,000 HP.

#7: You are limited to the amount of moves you can make in one day. You have 6 military moves. Moving across inhabited territory into battle is 1 move, across uninhabited territory is 2 moves, making an alliance is 1 move, etc.

#8: Troops move at 20 miles per hour, whether at peace or war. Troops from allied forces that fight on your side during war move at 40 miles per hour.

I would like to take D-75 please.  My nation will be called Pittsylvania.

And why should I have to pay taxes to the Federal government, dammit?

More over, why is the militia population x 3.4?  Should it not be population x 1/3.4?

And, finally, I see that you have some new rules, can you post all the rules in a single post or consequtive posts, please?

There has to be some disadvantage to having the rich territories in that area.

It's a typo. I meant to say that the military population is 3.4% of the total population.

I'll do my best. Hopefully we will get a forum for this soon.

Where is the list of the territories taken? It's a little difficult that some people are already taking 3 territories when other people haven't seen this thread until now.

Exactly.  I know it is not fair to a lot of people, but can we start this over and get some more people involved?

People have only taken 2 each. And here you go.

I've been working with Adam on the game rules - keep in mind that nothing is yet set in stone.

Can we be allowed to draft, in case of an emergency?  Let's say that we can draft for five turns, get twice the enlistment, but it has a negative net affect on our productivity and economy.

And, my part of the country does not exactly have a triving economy.

I'm not sure about anything like that yet. I totally forgot about updating the territories for awhile; I apologize. I will do that later tonight. Is the reason you would like to start over is because there's a left slant? Because if so, I don't believe that's a valid reason. I'll try to get everything in order some more tonight, and perhaps make another post. I will be out of the house for the night, but will have internet access later on tonight.

No, that has nothing to do with it.  I just suggested that so that we could get all of the rules down and we could all start at the same time.

Well, other than the districts being first come first serve, we will start at the same time - the game hasn't started yet beyond picking districts.

How come some people appear to have more than one district, then?  Or am I missing something?

If you would read through the thread, you'll note that we are now allowed to select a second district bordering our first(this is to speed things along a bit).

My country will consist of Districts 70 and 75 and will be called "The Republic of Iroquois" as that region was once populated by those proud peoples.  The Republic is divided into five state.

I think 75 is taken.

From: The Office of His Excellency, the Water Commissioner of the Lower Colorado
To: The Citizens of Lower Colorado

Our glorious crusade for a sane water policy has had its first success with Districts 10 and 22 under our benevolent control.

We hereby decree that all toilets that use more than 1.6 gallons per flush be deinstalled and smashed with the next 30 days.  Persons who refuse to comply shall be sentenced to 90 days per water wasting toilet they own.  All new toilets shall be required to be have dual flush options so that the appropriate amount of water can be selected depending upon whether solid or liquid waste needs removal, but users of older single flush toilets will not be required to deactivate them at this time.
