For women only: Would you vote for Trump or a practicing Muslim?

Trump has been heard to denigrate and discriminate against women. So has Mohammad and practicing Muslims. Sharia law definitely favors men over women.

http://www.clarionproject.org/understanding-islamism/womens-rights-under-sharia

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3D1sW7tu6-s&feature=em-subs_digest-vrecs

I think that any woman would be foolish to vote for Trump or a practicing Muslin.

Do you agree?

If not, then tell us why you would vote for Trump or a practicing Muslim.

This is a bad place to go to do a poll of only women.

I am a pretty religious Christian... but not because of the reasons people think Wink

Between weak women submitting to husbands and calling them "master" the Bible is a pretty good book.  If the Quran is better than this I'm converting!  If the Bible is the decent wholesome book I'm itching to see the "bad" book.

Well, you see, not all Muslims are the same... so it would depend on their views...

If their views were similar to mine, I'd probably vote for them just like I would with any other person.

Close. A recent poll suggested that we literally have four women here.

Not a woman, but I would think it depends on the extent of what "practicing" means. I would be very scared of voting for someone who follows the Quran 100% of the time (for woman-related and non-woman-related reasons), but there's nothing wrong with praying five times a day and such.

But you would be cool with someone who follows the Bible 100% of the time (ie making his wife call him master and submit to him in all things and calling women "weak")?

He didn't even say anything about the Bible.

No, of course not. Or the Vedas, or whatever. Honestly, even if there was nothing objectionable in those texts, basing your entire belief system on a single text makes you unfit to be President IMO.

I actually considered adding an "(or the Bible)" to my post, but I was worried that I would get an angry stream of "WHY WOULD YOU MENTION THE BIBLE THIS IS THE MUSLIM BASHING THREAD" posts, so I decided against it. Maybe I should have put it there, in retrospect.

Also FWIW I'm a Jewish agnostic.

I am aware that women are a minority in these places.

That tells me quite a bit about their character as compared to men.

What does it tell you?

I see both Yahweh and Allah as vile demiurges.

The morality that they show is more satanic than god-like.

Try talking morals to either group and see how they run.

We have brought Christianity to heel and will have to do the same with Islam.

Are you saying that the men here support misogyny and homophobia and do not care that Christianity and Islam also support those evils?

Well considering that 40-50% of the men here are gay, I doubt that.

I used the words "a practicing Muslim".

I certainly hope your views and ideology are not similar to theirs.

Well isn't that a little homophobic? Maybe a tiny, tiny bit?

Is giving a compliment to gays a sign of homophobia?

I think the opposite to be true.
