We are already halfway into the second half of the season. Who wins their divisions? Who wins the wildcards? Who wins their league championships? Who wins the World Series?

RIP in peace to the great ARDO - you will be mildly missed.
Now can we please focus on the wildcard spot?

Toronto and Washington are the only tolerable teams in the race for me (Are the Dodgers "in it"? I wouldn't actually say so.) It would be nice to see a smaller time team win it. Maybe that would be enough to get Bryce to move on =D

It would be fun to watch, but once the Cubs won it would be a painful few days for a White Sox fan in a predominately Cubs family like myself.

I want a Red Sox vs. Cubs World Series. Should have happened in 2003.

The Yanks have already given up on their season. If they still felt they could make the playoffs, they wouldn't have traded Miller, Beltran, and Chapman. (And I wish they didn't, they're gonna be a powerful team in a few years)

You guys may be right. The Chicago Cubs are the World Series favorites. It's World Series or bust in Chicago. They got new clubhouse designs, etc, the GM is Theo Epstein (who was the 2004 Boston Red Sox champion).

As a Sox fan, I hate to say it but Cubs will beat the Nationals in the Pennant race and beat the Indians in the Wrld Series.  Zobrest has been on the Royals and Tampa Bay Wrld Series teams and now is on the Cubbies. Wow.

The Chicago Cubs won the NL Central championship last night, the first time since 2008. The question remains whether they can get to the World Series. They're on track of winning 100+ games. Can manager Joe Maddon do what Dusty Baker and Lou Piniella couldn't do?

It would be nice to see the Cubs win a championship for the first time since 1908, but I don't know if they are playing under pressure, like the 2007 and 2008 Cubs did.

Cubs team president Theo Epstein, who helped the Boston Red Sox win the 2004 and 2007 World Series championships, should be commended. He knows how to turn "cursed" franchises around.

Here are my predictions as of 9/16.

AL

 East Champs: Baltimore
 Central Champs: Cleveland
 West Champs: Texas

Wild Cards: Boston, Seattle (Boston wins WC game)

   ALDS (best of 5)

Boston v Texas (Texas in 4)
Baltimore v Cleveland (Cleveland in 4)

ALCS (best of 7): Cleveland v Texas (Cleveland in 7)

NL

 East Champs: Washington
 Central Champs: Cubs
 West Champs: Dodgers

Wild Cards: San Francisco, Mets (Mets win WC game)

   NLDS (best of 5)

Mets v Cubs (Cubs in 4)
Dodgers v Washington (Dodgers in 5)

NLCS (best of 7): Dodgers v Cubs (Cubs in 6)

World Series (best of 7, AL team gets home field advantage): Cubs v Cleveland (Cubs in 6)

This looks to be the Cubs year...I think they will break the "curse of the Billy Goat".  So it is written, so it will be done.  LOL.  Wink
