Hamilton County Indiana is the wealthiest and most educated county in Indiana with a median family income of over 95 K annually and around 55% of adults having at least a bachelors degree. This county voted 66 % Romney in 2012. Atlas tells me that the democrats are the party of wealthy suburbanites now and that republicans are only rural poor uneducated white men. Will this county have a thirty point swing to Hillary?

My guess is Hamilton County will trend and, barring a really bad election nationally, swing Democratic from 2012 to 2016, but a full realignment if it happens will take time.

Clinton will not win it, if that's what your asking. Maybe something like 57-39 Trump instead of 66-32.

Hamilton County:

2012: 66% Romney
2008: 61% McCain
2000 and 2004: 74% Bush W.

So Trump probably gets 62% I guess in the General Election vs Hillary.

Looks like the city of Bloomington. Was 58.4-39.3 in 2012; 58.5-35.2 in 2016. Obama got 65% there in 2008, though.

I'm guessing this is a good part of the reason why:

That would also explain the low income. I was hoping there was some pocket of traditional working-class leftists there or something, but college towns are good too.
