I have no tolerance for "Angela Merkel is as left as Bernie Sanders" style idiocy.
I don't think any amount of stupidity is enough to make someone a HP. There ought to be some other issue.
Exactly! BRTD isn't an HP only because of his massive stupidity and obtuseness - he's obsessive, too.
BRTD is very clearly not stupid. He can be extremely articulate and insightful when he wants to. And I'm convinced that he's much more aware of how infuriating he is than he lets on.
