This act has my full support. Thank you to Senator Blair for introducing this bill.

One question, though - how do you plan for the Pulse Fund to be funded? Is it by donation or would you like federal funding for it?

Could someone sponsor an amendment adding: "and the 53 seriously injured"? Or would that be disrespectful to the dead?

This bill is a great bill, I will proudly sponsor this in the house if possible.

Disappointed by the lack of response. Regardless, I plan to bring this to a final vote this evening. Hopefully the sponsor will address these issues today or when the House takes up the bill.

Going to quote this again in hopes we finally get a response from Senator Blair:

This is now at a final vote. Senators, please vote AYE, NAY or ABSTAIN.

Hopefully these questions can be addressed during the House debate. Nevertheless, I won't let the lack of answers keep me from voting down a great bill.

Can we stop the final vote?

As I've said several times I'm on holiday in the states, and refusing to pay for Wifi so I have about two 30 minutes Windows in the day when I can check all my internet stuff so as I said I'll be days late in replying to stuff.

the pulse fund would be from private sources- I'm always amazed how many big companies are happy to sponsor programs like these

I don't see the point in suspending the final vote. This has been on the Senate floor for 9 days and no one has expressed a desire to amend the bill further. If a majority of senators disagree, it can be stopped. As it stands, this bill has 3 Ayes and voting will last for another two days or until it reaches a majority.

Unless the senate rules have totally changed, a vote can't last more than 3 days, at least in the previous senate rules.

Correct. The vote started yesterday and has two more days, like I said. It'll end at 10:46 PM CT on the 25th or 24 hours after it receives a fourth vote, whichever comes sooner.

This has enough votes to pass. Senators have 24 hours to change their votes.

This bill has passed the Senate and moves on to the House.
