I think my heritage is a lot more interesting and pride-worthy than my skin color.  Pretty sure that's how most white people feel, you're not proud to be white you're proud to be Irish or whatever.

I'm not really sure why I should be proud of my race or even really identify with it. I'm proud of being Danish, but my race is not really a big part of my identity, it's like my brown hair or hazel eyes. Are there a lot of people who are proud of having brown hair? That doesn't mean I'm not happy being White, I like being north European White it makes life easier for me, in Denmark it serve as a visual shorthand for being part of the Danish majority, when I travel abroad it means officials rarely bother me.

Of course I get why people who have identities strongly integrated with their race like Americans or South African, but the difference is that I'm not White Danish, I'm just Danish.
