Freshman liberal firebrand, Wisconsin Sen. Tammy Baldwin decides to run for Wisconsin governor in 2018 and wins the Democratic gubernatorial primary. She faces off against Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who is running for a third term. Who wins?

If Walker gets his approval to at least 44%, him. If not Baldwin. If Donald Trump is president, Baldwin will almost certainly win.

Walker, plus Republicans would pick up the open Senate seat. A lose-lose situation for Baldwin and Democrats.

Maybe Ron Johnson or Robin Vos, or Sean Duffy.

This. A Baldwin vs. Duffy race is already a tossup, though.

For a second, I thought we were talking about the senate race. It would be a bad move on Baldwin's part to run for governor instead, and I think she'd probably lose.

If Clinton's President:
Scott Walker/Mark Green: ~52.5%
Tammy Baldwin/Dave Cieslewicz: ~45.0%
