Trump must be completely cooked in PA if they are going to take their foot off the gas for a while...

I bet they'll eventually move into places like Kansas, Missouri, Indiana, and Texas.

This election is so over.

There are actually Trump supporters responding to those tweets saying that this is because the Clinton campaign is running out of money and is having to defend blue states...

Out of PA for most of September? So their numbers look like the public ones. I just don't see how this race tightens back to competitiveness.

On the show he said they were both moving the money to other states to "expand the map" and to ramp up registration and GOTV efforts, especially in FL and OH.

Katie Packer was actually the head of the anti-Trump Our Principles Super PAC in the primaries.

If CO, VA, and PA are all gone, so are Trump's chances of winning.

No. He can still win by flipping California!

It seems to me that she was sarcastic.

Yes, that's the point I intended to make.

I believe PA will be the tipping point state, and if the race gets close again, the state that decides the election. Almost always unwise to ever pull out of a state like that. I hope they know what they're doing.

I believe this is just ad spending, which is very easy to reverse course on.  We haven't heard anything about them reducing the ground game in these states, which is much more long term.

The Clinton internal polling machine is very good - I have no doubt they know.

Pull back to what?   Are they thinking they can win with some other group of states?   What the heck is their plan here?

Clinton is basically ahead by double digits in all three.  They are pulling spending from those states to focus more on states that are a bit closer or Trump is narrowly ahead in.

I think the general idea is that when your opponent is drowning you throw them an anvil. So Trump is behind strongly in these trio of states. Why not make it so he's way behind in three more? And then three more after that? Prevent him from having any means for which to win in short.

You get the same number of electoral votes if you win by 3 or 13, and the election is 80 days away. Throwing that money at tossup states is much more efficient at this point.

I was thinking of chess where you wear down the opponent's pawn structure to open up later for checks and constant pressure on the king
