In Latin America, the dominant RW ideology is actually populism, not conservatism, FWIW, populism doesn't have to be ethnically charged. So, there is actually more evidence that perhaps a different variety of populism would be more attractive to Latinos than Conservatism would.

Even countries like Mexico now have Gay Marriage, and social issues are not the deciding factor for electoral issues.

"Hispanic" is a demographic category, not an ethnicity.  And people who fall under this category are incredibly diverse.  They are not a voting bloc.
