So what's the over/under until we all know classified information too? He won't be able to keep it to himself.

As it should be happening. I am sure Trump knows how to keep a secret. He wouldn't have gotten to where he was in business if he started blabbing about his plans to acquire certain parcels of real estate.

Regardless of Trump I never quite understood the idea behind giving non-incumbents classified briefings on stuff they can't address in the campaign anyway. There's plenty of time to brief the President-elect from November until January.

OK, I see reasoning behind this (better prepeared than sorry), but why are former Presidents receiving classified briefings too?

I'm sure we'll hear it from John Miller instead lol.

trump has a gutter image with 60/65% of the country because of his lack of control in "blabbing" and babbling .... what are you talking about ?

Trump is a showman. There's a reason why his biggest success was The Apprentice, while Trump Steaks, Trump Vodka, and Trump World Magazine are no longer in business.

Honestly, my biggest worry is he reveals something in a post-election-loss-induced rage in November.

Do you really think he's going to wait that long to slip? Frankly, when he loses the election, I think he's going to be relieved, and then go on his long long touted vacation. He won't care two days later that he didn't win.

I agree with you on this. However, the way information is released is important. Some blabber mouth loose cannon Presidential candidate spewing stuff he can't help is not the way.

I've wondered about that too- Truman's comment that he felt unprepared is interesting. FDR was in power for quite some time.

Like how JFK pretended there was a "missile gap" favoring the USSR when in fact the exact opposite was true.

Yeah but they have to pull together a team.  I would really want more than a couple of months heads up on this sh-t.  I would probably need a few stiff drinks and a few months to handle whatever turned Obama from a peacenik into the drone king.

And who knows.  Maybe if they show this buffoon some real sh-t it will sober him up.

Or scare the crap out of him. I don't think he knows what he's getting into.

Truman was FDR's third VP and served as such for only three months prior to FDR's death.

VPs didn't do much back then and weren't always involved in day-to-day government operations. I could see how he felt unprepared, especially when it came to the nuclear program that he probably wasn't read in on.
