I get very annoyed by his insistence that blue collar religious types have more of a claim to conservatism than affluent business types, but that's a minor, minor issue.  He's mellowed a lot, and he's surely a FF.

Are you implying that Bandit wasn't always the Bandit we know now?  I find that hard to believe.

Bandit used to be a fiery populist who hated Republicans and praised the KY Democratic Party for representing those most in need against the elitist Republicans.  Now he calls the GOP a "rural romp" party, talks about how only cities should be able to vote and salivates at the idea of Democrats making inroads in the affluent suburbs of Cincinnati, LOL.  Which pretty much shows his only ideology is contempt for Republicans, and he doesn't care what that contempt is rooted in or whom it's for.

Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else (Classic Conservative?), but my mental image of him has transitioned from an obnoxious kid that is WAY too excited to go to Sunday school into an old senior whose schedule consists of church, napping, and listening to gospel music on the record player. Tongue Or did he really change that much?

Yeah, I know. I have a mental image of a lot of posters that I know doesn't actually match with reality. The fact that you managed to age like 70 years in my head in the span of a year is kind of proof of that.

I found his hardcore religious phase to be disturbing, but I can strongly empathize with trying to find a religious identity that fits, and I am glad that he is "back", so to speak.

I think he's also a very amicable and friendly person, and he is obviously quite intelligent, so while I generally recoil sharply from people who support Donald Trump, he's the exception and I vote FF.
