Game changer?

Let's see....1,000 awful things he's said the past year or so to people who didn't deserve it, and ONE thing said indicating generalized "regret".

I guess that one tiny thing makes up for all the others?
But don't you come here and say I didn't warn you, about the way your world might alter Evil Evil Evil

The way the "world might alter" under a Trump presidency is exactly what I'm worried about.

Trump can go full Tumblr SJW between now and it won't change my opinion of the damage this man will cause in office.

If Trump is actually able to stick with this, it could be a game changer.

Hopefully he goes back go his old ways tomorrow and we won't have to worry about this being a competitive election and instead be able to try to make control of the House competitive lol

If Trump is able to get away with this BS though,.....smh

Ugh - I hate my fellow Red avatars when things aren't guaranteed.

How do you mean?

We go into full on panic mode over any positive development on the other side.

Eh.....yeah.

No!

If you do, you're going to get deported from the Trump train. And you're going to get deported fast! Sooo fast! By Second Amendment people!

I thought that was satirical before I read your comment, and thought it was some fictional group of llamas talking to Trump.

the fact the media is even calling this an apology shows how eager for a horse race they are. This is the phoniest thing I've ever seen.

If anything, this proves even more how selfish Donald is. He doesn't really care about anyone he's hurt. He just feels now that he's actually being damaged by his comments so he has to cover his butt finally. He should've thought about it before he went after a Gold Star family, a disabled reporter, immigrants, protesters, John McCain, purple heart families, I could go on.

It takes a big man to apologize, Donald is a tiny man.

After a year + of belittling people, denigrating them, attacking and accusing people of all sorts of outrageous negative things, suddenly Trump has had a change of heart?

What exactly was the motivation for this? What caused him to "see the light"?

Did he have a divine revelation? Did a miracle happen? What?

Bottom line is that he's still a showman and still has many tricks up his sleeve to palm off his snake oil on his gullible and devoted fans.

It's good that he finally says some kind words, but tomorrow is another day. What will he do next? Actions are much more important than words can ever be.

I suspect Trump's new campaign manager (who is a pollster) gave him the facts that if he doesn't improve his numbers with women who should be voting Republican, he is going to lose. As noted this week by WaPo...

So you get his attempt at outreach to blacks (which is really aimed at white women who want to see him show empathy), you get his trip to LA flood and this apparent show of contrition. It all adds up to trying to appeal more to white women, starting with white republican women.

This statement comes across with all the sincerity of a down on his luck, D-list porno actor shooting a scene in a dirty, poorly lit basement for $30 so he can get his next fix.  Which is actually too generous for this limp performance.  Trump doesn't deserve more than $15.

At any rate, actions speak louder than words and the Bannon hire shows us what is really going on.
