It was okay, I wasn't so hyped for this one like the others in the past but it wasn't a bore like 2004 in Athens.

Seeing America break the USSR record for most medels in women gymnastics and dominate the field was amazing . Then Micheal Phelps was even better then he was in 2012 and that was great , along with watching a new star Ledecky . Lastly Bolt did great as well

Much better than I expected.  I kind of got caught up in the whole "Brazil is a trainwreck" meme, but the athletic performances especially in the pool and on the track have been very exciting.

The Winter Olympics are much better.

We actually win a lot of medals there.

For Summer Olympics, not bad.

All I can say is props to the Women's gymnastics and the US swimmers (minus those that vandalized).

I'm not a lover of cold climates, but I agree with you. I really haven't watched much of these games at all. I don't think I ever watched as much coverage of any Olympics compared to what I watched during the Vancouver Games in 2010. I suppose, as an American, that's easy to say. We do great no matter what. Rio/2016 has reinvigorated my interest in the Olympics. Brazil might not have been the most gracious host, and Rio the most inviting city, but the Olympics themselves -- the competitions, the organization, the quality of the facilities -- were much better than Atlanta/1996. That one was a pure sh**tshow and a long-lasting embarrassment for the US.

Oh, and fie to you all who think the Winter Olympics are better. Two good events (luge and ice dancing) can't make up for the fact that 5/6ths of the planet can't participate in it.
