Clinton is ahead by 9.2% on RCP's average, and Nate Silver says if the election were today, Clinton has about a 91% chance of winning the state. What happened to our chances there??

PA is 1-2 points to the left of the nation. Trump is down 7-8 nationwide, and thus down 9 in PA.

Trump turned off college educated voters (particularly women) in the Philadelphia suburbs. Polls that do breakdowns by regions, show that he's loosing those suburbs by almost 30%. That's countering Trump's modest gains among the white working class elsewhere in the state.

Insulting the mother of a war hero, suggesting gun nuts could assassinate POTUS and/or SCOTUS nominees, stating that a Clinton victory in PA would be election fraud and illegitimate... (and that's just in recent weeks).

For all of the love of the blue collar worker that Trump professes to have, he has turned off college educated voters to an even higher extent.  And Pennsylvania has a substantial population with high level and high quality education.  For instance, Philadelphia alone has five medical schools--more than the states of Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Kansas combined.

Pennsylvania was ~D+1 in 2012. Trump's down by a lot nationally, so he's also down by a lot in PA.
