Starting a mega thread about Clinton & Trump's strengths and weaknesses. Also how this applies to the demographics of a state, and/or current polling. (I disregard this myself because the only poll that matters is on election day, the race will likely change, etc.) Will start posting topics as soon as possible. Discussion is welcome. Debates are discouraged.

Since Trump is a poor fit for the Mormon community and if Romney endorses Johnson he will actually have a legitimate chance to win a county in the state. Johnson might split the vote enough to give the state to Clinton. Utah hasn't gone Democratic since 1964. It seems to be a toss-up state this year, given both candidates unpopularity with the Mormon vote.

Utah will swing heavily away from Trump, but I highly doubt that he'll actually lose it, unless he loses in an absolute landslide. He may lose a great many Romney voters in the state, but Utah is just so strongly Republican that I don't think his unpopularity alone will be enough to flip it.

Trump losing Utah is about as likely as him winning NH.

Why so cruel TNvolunteer? Cry

I created it because many of your liberal affiliates encouraged me to do so. And most importantly why do you exist?

What's "cruel" about that? Even Trump isn't incompetent enough to lose Utah.

Oh wow. What will you do if Trump actually wins NH but loses Utah?

I'm confused. What is this thread for? This entire forum is about politics. Why on earth would we need a "mega thread about Clinton and Trump" when that's all the 2016 US Presidential Election sub-forum is about?

You, sir, are a prickly fellow.  May I suggest a thread title change?  How about, "Spark498's collection of haphazard streams of consciousness"?

I think you should be a little more thick-skinned, Spark.  You're seeming a bit Trumpy right now. Smiley

In all seriousness, chillax a bit.  I earnestly didn't mean to rattle you with my remarks.

Wrong place to post about politics then.

I think you should refrain from making comments.

And you're getting offended too easily.

People were complaining about the number of threads that were being posted, and several people suggested simply making a megathread of these sorts of things rather than several separate threads.

There is a section devoted to political debate.

Guys, he did exactly what one or more of you said. Just let him have his thread without pages of nonsense arguments, insults or whatever. If no one wants to discuss anything he posts, then the thread will float into the abyss we call 2016 U.S. Presidential Election

Yeah, I'm happy with it. Not sure what the deal is with everyone jumping on him for it. I think a few of the confused simply hadn't been following the whole process up til here, though, which explains some of it.

Since the thread involves demographics, I've gotta wonder how trump does with married people. Is there any information on how he's doing?
