Link: http://www.monmouth.edu/polling-institute/reports/MonmouthPoll_OH_082216/

They have Johnson at 10 and Stein at "less than 1", which is interesting.  In the Senate race, Portman leads 48-40.

Magnificent poll. Like in 2012, the great state of Ohio will once again be the firewall against the Republican hordes of alt-righters and supply-siders.

Hillary's consistently up by mid-single digits in Ohio, a state which Trump needs and she doesn't. I'll take it.

Yet more evidence that Clinton continues to lead by her post-DNC margin. BEAUTIFUL!

A state that should be good for Trump in theory, has pretty much never shown him leading. Lean D.

I think Trump is in store for a good trashing in Ohio.

At to just above the margin of error, Ohio may not be as glaring a disaster to Donald Trump as Colorado or Virginia.... but here's to somewhere between 320 and 420 electoral votes for Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Other numbers of interest:

Favorables
Clinton: 33/51
Trump: 29/58

Likely to look out for "the little guy"
Clinton: 42/50
Trump: 38/53

It's not a good sign for the strength of his message that he isn't leading "looking out for the little guy", but geez those favorability numbers are atrocious for each side (though Clinton does have +11 net there on Trump).

So if Pew is to be believed, Ohio has an even PVI this election.

They're clearly not polling enough "Reagan Democrats," which as we all know is the key for Trump's victory in Ohio.

Pretty much.

Trump has led in what 2 polls in OH all year right?

I really wouldn't arbitrarily lock myself to a single version of a single national poll and single version of a single, and different, state poll....but you already know that and are intent on repeating this point anyway.

Ohio just isn't what it used to be this year. It's pretty clear it won't be the tipping point and possibly as low as #347 for Hillary. Florida and North Carolina look more blue.

Now 16 polls taken of Ohio since June 7. Clinton leads in 13, Trump in 2, and 1 tie. Trump has not been at 45% in any Ohio poll except for Gravis

Yeah, I'm skeptical that Ohio will suddenly be to the left of the country overall. Especially when that was SUPPOSED to happen in 2012 and didn't.

Ohio was R +1 in 2012 but will probably be more so this year if previous polls are correct. So this is consistent with Clinton being in mid to high single digits.

If Kasich had won the nomination:

Kasich 57
Clinton 33

B-b-but the base would have stayed home!!11!

Just look at the cross-tabs with moderates there. Hell, even Democrats.

Well, Kasich's favourable rating would tank if he won the nomination. Not saying he wouldn't be favoured in OH, but not this much.
