There are many things to dislike about Evan Bayh, but this slip is just embarrassing and an unforced error on his part.

A quick search on Google Maps shows this appears to be some sort of condominium complex with a bunch of streets that are all named Canterbury -- Canterbury Place, Canterbury Court, Canterbury Square East, Canterbury Square West...etc.

Going to be amazing when Bayh wins in a landslide and everyone forgets about this stupidity.

I'm calling BS on a former senator and governor living in a cheap looking townhouse within walking distance of a Dunkin' Donuts and a CVS, but nonetheless:

Going to be amazing when Bayh wins in a landslide and everyone forgets about this stupidity.

Again, Dan Coats won in a landslide six years ago while literally running as a North Carolina resident.
Plus, it's awfully difficult to paint Bayh as a carpetbagger when he was a statewide officeholder for 24 years and he is the scion of one of the most famous Indiana political dynasties.

True and this issue certainly won't decide the race but it certainly is bad press for Bayh. 2010 isn't the best comparison though because it was a wave election and Ellsworth got no support from the national Democratic Party who gave up on him early on.

I'm not a huge Bayh fan by any means, but this really isn't important.

POLITICO just did an article about this and the gist of voter responses when they talked to people was basically "Yeah I can see why some people might see his residency issues as a problem. But I know Evan Bayh and he's a great guy. I'm still voting for him!"

I think Todd Young has the perfect campaign attack on Evan Bayh, looking at current polls.  Hillary Clinton is going to win.  No matter how moderate Evan Bayh is, his first vote in the senate will be for Democratic control.  Do you Indiana voters want Hillary Clinton to have a blank check?

Filibusters except for appointments are a proper check on Clinton/Kaine. Even in a landslide, Dems will gain 4-8 seats in the Senate and need Collins, Murkowski, McCain for immigration reform.

Dems need Strickland, Bayh, Cortez-Masto and McGinty in Senate
