Ah, but see, he alone knows how to fix it, since he has intimate knowledge of how corrupt the system is by virtue of having been part of the corruption himself.

So at the time Trump thought the Clinton foundation was outstanding enough to donate money to.

Now he says it's the worst most corrupt charity organization in history.

This is his usual mentally unbalanced modus operandi in action, and people want this guy for President.

Why should it be shocking that a Hillary supporter donated loads of money to the Clinton Foundation?

That's kind of an unfair argument. Bogus charities certainly exist, with donors granting millions to what prove to be little more than money laundering outfits.

Beyond the issue of throwing money away to criminal charities, people can still regret donating to charities espousing beliefs that no longer reflect their own values. People have the right to change their minds after reassessing the priorities in their lives.

Granted, Donald Trump has deeply abused that privilege (I can't speculate on the reasons why Trump donated to the CF, but Trump himself has given no arguments on why he made the initial donation in the first place), but I still think this whole insistence on "flip-flopping" and ideological purity for people running for office is silly, and even poisonous to the way our election system operates.

You are being too kind to Trump.

The Clinton Foundation is by no means a bogus organization. Anyone can do the research. (I just started a thread on the General News forum about it.)

Trump's motivations are so transparent it's not even funny. Now that he's running for President, it's inconvenient for people to know he donated to Hillary's foundation, so he has to trash it to make himself look good.

I don't mind politicians flip-flopping...I think it's a good thing because it shows that people learn new information and grow with it.

The problem with Trump is that he flip-flops daily. That is not admirable behavior, it is mentally unbalanced behavior.

The system is rigged. Trump knows the system well, cause he participated in the "pay for play" practices.

The House needs to conduct an investigation on this ..... actually they should conduct multiple investigations on this bulls**t .... I mean corrupt conspiracy ..... and spend hundreds-of-thousands of dollars on various reports and hearings.
Or maybe we need a special prosecutor assigned to this.
What do you think Mr Seriously ?

This is an interesting point.  Trump could argue that he knows that she gave favors for donations because he himself obtained such favors.  The problem therein would be that he would have to admit to impropriety himself.

You do realize that I was following the AP title/source verbatim. This is not even how CNN reported it.

Both candidates getting indicted because one bribed the other is the perfect way for the 2016 election to end.
