Weren't the Lindberghs fascist sympathizers or something? I vaguely recall something of the sort.

Lindbergh was one of the leaders of the America First movement, along with Lillian Gish (and, of course, some less-famous people). Gish seems to have just been a terminally naive Old Rightist; Lindbergh was by most accounts a bit, uh, nastier.

In all fairness to the nazi, he snapped out of it after pearl harbor.
