Lindsay is dropping out and endorsing Romney. Joint campaign rallies can be held about one of every three weeks. While absent, Lindsay will leave the following unofficially in charge: Joseph Periconi(R/L), Percy Sutton(D), Frank O'Connor(D), Sanford Garelik(R/L), Thomas Dewey, Jr.,(R), and Robert Wagner, Jr.(D). O'Connor will be acting Mayor, with Robert Wagner, III, serving as an advisor to the acting Mayor.
