Alan Grayson and Patrick Murphy sound to hate each other, Murphy was once a Republican, voted in favor of the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline and was implicated in a sort of commitee that investigated on the Benghazi attack in 2012 in which Hillary Clinton was indicted, all of which would not please a great part of the Democratic base. The Democratic establishment is mistreating Grayson just like the Republican establishment did to Trump during the GOP primaries. In addition, as the effects of the Sanders Revolution are still being felt, a part of Bernie Sanders supporters still sound unlikely to vote for Clinton and angry towards the establishment while Murphy is closer to Clinton than Sanders. Could Alan Grayson declare a third-party candidacy if he loses the Democratic nomination?

I would love that so much, but no. Grayson knows that it will just hand the seat to Rubio.

I doubt it. Most states have "sore loser" laws that bar precisely this type of activity.

A part of me wants to see this happen just to witness the forum's meltdown.

But that's like only 2% of me.

I doubt it. Most states have "sore loser" laws that bar precisely this type of activity.

Indeed, though a write-in candidacy is always possible.

The one consolation about Grayson running in the first place is that he's going to be out of congress.

Why would he do so? He isn't that stupid (his supporters are) and that politically suicidal.

Yes, we need to take back our party from the Sanders wing.

"Sanders wing" never controlled the party, unless I'm missing something and Bernie is the current Democratic nominee.

The Sanders wing lobbied to take away the right for DNC reps to choose who to vote for in future presidential primaries. The sanders wing forced out our great former chair DWS. The sanders wing wrongly framed our great progressive nominee Hillary Clinton as corrupt corporate shill. Finally the Sanders wing is trying to defeat hard working establishment Democrats like DWS, Patrick Murphy, ect.

I'm not a fan of the Bernie-wing, but DWS was a terrible chair. Always.

Are you referring to superdelegates?

If you hate democracy so much, maybe you should try to change the name of the party while you're at it.

I sure hope not... hopefully Florida law prevents him from doing that. He deserves to lose tomorrow and never come back to Congress, and Patrick Murphy is obviously more electable than Grayson. Grayson running third party would hand the seat to Rubio

That would be the dumbest thing he could possibly do, the only reason why he would do that is that he knows his career is over after the domestic violence revelations and he cynically wants to take Murphy down with him
