The Mary Thomas VS Neal Dunn race is getting massive money and interest and endorsements, but other Florida races like neighboring D1 and D19 aren't. I follow every district of Florida very closely and though this was odd. Any thoughts on why?

They're both very good candidates in a two-way competition for an open seat, and there's a clear ideological distinction between the two of them.

(Definitely hoping for Thomas, btw -- and hopeful Sukhia, the third candidate, may take more from the also establishment-inclined Dunn and allow Thomas to win).

In other news, while Matt Gaetz is obviously the favorite in FL-1, how likely do you think is he to actually lose? (Especially to Johansen-Bydlak?)

Personally, I like Zumwalt for D1 and Thomas for D2. Bydlak is good too. Theres a businessman running in D1 too named Dosev who's trumpesqee  and  unfortunately and he's the only real challenger for Gaetz.

Me too. I also like Gaetz in FL-1, but I'd prefer Rebekah. If she doesn't make it, I'll be happy to have her in the State House or something.

Rebecca Negron in FL-19 is another great candidate to watch. She can hold the seat, doesn't have higher ambitions from what I can tell, and will probably be a pretty strong voice on education/healthcare issues in Congress.

As for FL-2, my personal preference is for Mary Thomas though I'd be alright with Sukhia and Dunn, both of whom are connected to some folks I know.

What do you mean? Thanks to redistricting both are heavily Republican but D1 has 7 main candidates and D2 has 2.
