...Well, we had W a decade ago....

So when is there a Clinton biopic?

But seriously, why now? He's still in office. Usually a little more time passes before bios are made, when things can be looked at more objectively.

EDIT: That said, it is admirable how the lead actress pushed for this. But still...

The Bush biopic you mentioned came out during Bush's last full year in office, just as this film is coming out during Obama's.

Seems like an odd choice to make a whole movie just about it.

And back then I thought making anything about Dubya and releasing it was in bizarre taste.

Weird topic for a movie, but I'll withhold judgement until it comes out I guess.

I think there's a certain poetic quality to the idea. Beauty in the mundane, so to speak.

Yet, an accurate Ronald Reagan movie hasn't been made. Come on, guys.

Will Ferrell was going to make one*, but conservatives had their fee-fees hurt and they had to pull the plug.

*okay, it wasn't going to be particularly accurate, but it was something.

Much as I love Obama and wish he could be president for 5 more terms, a movie about his first date with Michelle sounds boring and terrible.

Interestingly enough Rotten Tomatoes is rather high on it but Imdb ratings aren't; it's sort of like a reverse DC film. Tongue

Even though Hopkins doesn't look anything like Tricky Dick.

Does LBJ count as a modern President? All the Way featuring Bryan Cranston was amazing. I'm interested to see how Woody Harrelson plays him.

Ugh, so pissed off my theater didn't show it. Do you think it's still on somewhere?
