Meh, FM by not being horrible...but only Gene Wilder stands out anymore against Burton's remake. The rest of it just isn't all that great.

P.S. Young Frankenstein was a much better film overall and just for Wilder.

It's interesting that, aside from the bizarro out-of-nowhere backstory for Willy Wonka, Tim Burton's movie is a lot more faithful to the original work.

It's funny how despite the title it's actually about Charlie, while the Johnny Depp remake is titled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but is more about Willy Wonka.
