Will she take any questions from the press afterward?

Wtf? Did someone raise their hand and say, "Mrs. Clinton, can you please address American exceptionalism in the campaign? The American people are just dying to hear about American exceptionalism." She needs to give a speech addressing her negative favorables. This election is turning out to be utterly horrific. Devastating.

America's not great. No one could possibly buy this when we have so many social ills about.

I hope today's episode can put to rest the comparisons some have made between Beet and myself. I like the guy, but this is too much, even for me.

Obviously the plan is to heavily emphasize the fact that Trump does not believe in today's America, despite the fact that things are so much better than they've ever been for so many more people in the United States. Maybe she can take the wind out of Trump's sails as he tries to address immigration.

Also, there's nothing she could say to make her favourables any better. She has already gone to extreme lengths to address this nonsense.

Wow, she really sounds like a Republican here...
Anyone who takes pride in this country sounds like a Republican compared to Trump.

The """"progressive"""" candidate
There is no ideological conflict between national pride and progressivism.  Its pretty obvious what Clinton is doing here.  Rhetorically appealing to Republicans and independents with American exceptionalism while keeping a progressive policy platform.

While it is true that many more people have it much better, it is all relative. It is not equal to be happy/satisfied.

Just look at every poll. On "Is America on wrong track" type of questions 65-75% usually says yes. More than ever [not literally].

That's a stupid question. I would say yes that "American is on the track" because it is not moving to the left fast enough. Yet if I was asked between continuing down the current path or going down the one Trump wants, I'd pick the current path with zero questions asked.

Hillary is wise enough to know that elections are won in the center.  Trump, on the other hand, hasn't gotten through his thick skull that doubling and tripling down on red meat rhetoric only distances him from the kinds of voters he really needs to win over.

America is great. True, it has ills - such as Donald Trump. But overall it is still the greatest country on the planet. And I am telling this as a Mexican, who voluntarily chose to move from the US down south.

Even if I agree with you, that they should probably be more specific, so

Make jokes all you want, but the state of this country is a complete and total disaster, and we should be ashamed to live in it.

In what respect is this even close to true?
