HP. The only reason anyone "endorses" people when they start running is because strategically it can be useful to get endorsements in early (see EMILY's List, for example). If you're not an influential person or organization, it's illogical to "endorse" people until you actually know who the candidates are.

I, like normal posters, am deeply influenced by who others respected posters support. Elections are nothing, if not a social event amognst friends.
