West Virginia has been trending sharply Republican lately. What could this mean in future elections? Will a Republican presidential candidate reach 70% in West Virginia from now to 2028? It seems very possible with a Republican win in the popular vote.

Trump vs. Clinton with an incumbent black president is one of the best scenarios for that possible, and he'll be lucky to hit 65. I'm inclined to say no.

Maybe a popular Republican incumbent. Almost impossible otherwise.

This. Romney only got 62 in 2012, and I don't know what evidence there is that Democrats will continue to fall.
