Well? As for myself, it's an unequivocal yes. I love my mom to death and would give my own life to her if I could. She means so much to me and I could never imagine my life without her. I would do anything for her. On top of that, I make absolutely no apologies.

I take it you don't have a good relationship with your mother.

To be honest, I probably wouldn't have answered in the affirmative ten years ago, even though it was true then. My younger brother used to try to make fun of me for being a mama's boy. He is just as much as I am, but he won't admit it. I did confess to my dad one time that I'm pretty sure I'm a mama's boy. He thinks that any good son with a great mom is almost always a mama's boy, even if they don't admit it.

Any fans of "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" here?  Cause we could take this thing in a whole different direction.

I love my parents equally, and that love is extreme. So, yes

I have a very strained relationship with my mother that has entered some form of detente only after I left home. So, no. I love my mother of course and I think she has and will always be a model mother considering how much she sacrificed to be a full time caretaker for my youngest brother, but I am not close to her and don't think at this point I ever will be.

Considering how she handled my middle brother (who was given a free pass to do as he pleased and is now trying to get off heroin for the second time) and me, frequently the subject of stinging criticism that bordered more on school yard bullying than it did on character building, the constant attempts to turn me against my friends (all the while constantly and often coldly and/or aggressively berating me for not having enough friends), and so forth, I don't think I'll ever truly have a firm idea of which way the scale leans and I don't really have any interest in "making amends" which she insists upon as part of her twelve step program.

Alas, this.

I love both my parents, but yes I'm a mama's boy to some extent. Though, there is a good amount of tension between me and my parents that I doubt will go away for awhile.

I have been as a child for a while after my (unmarried) parents separated when I was turning seven. But not for the past years, since I moved into an own apartment at the age of 19, met my girlfriend, and my mother now lives in another German state. But I remain very close with my favorite aunt and uncle, who have no children.

Nope. In the good days, Ma was always a little too sanctimonious for my tastes to quite reach that point...but she was the good parent in comparison.

Alas, the good days are over now.

A bit.  I was very close to my father when he was alive, so I think I'm a bit more of a "father's son" type of guy.  Smiley

After my parents divorced I never saw my dad and my mom was absent 80% of the time.

So no. I don't hold any of that against her and I love her as most people should their parents but I'm not really a mama's boy in any sense of the word.
