For too long many hard working Atlasians, the very men and women
who power our nations shops and services have been forced to rely
on poverty wages of as low as $7.50. People and Families cannot be
expected to pay the bills, pay their rent or simply survive. We urge
Atlasians of all Parties to stand together and say enough is enough.
It's time for a Real Living Wage!

We could possibly have it pegged to a certain percentage of the average wage in each state/region.

Why should government be allowed the power to dictate wages. They don't hold the means of production. The business owner does. Yes a free market economy is naturally unequal in outcome. But not in opportunity. In fact government intervention denies opportunity because of its desire to force "diversity" on business.

As we've discussed in Fremont, it's probably best that we adjust the minimum wage to different living conditions throughout the country. The living wages in San Francisco and West Virginia are two very different things.

That's just not true; a market economy without 'government intervention' would mean that property laws, intellectual property and the entirety of civic, social and political society that capital relies on would not exist

Removing my signature ( WHITEOUT) because I now realize that this is a regional issue, not a national one.

All this makes the incredibly dubious assumption that there will be no negative effect on employment.

I'd rather spend a bit more on public assistance if it means we aren't closing businesses and opportunities for people to enter the job market.
