She was an institution. I'm not a fan of her dictatorial vision of social conservatism anymore than I am the ERA, but it's sad to see her go.

It’s not.

There's a ton to hate about her, but somehow I feel uncomfortable actually celebrating her passing.

Wouldn't hurt to try though.

and,

At least she lived to see the repudiation of social conservatism.

She did really accomplish much anything, truth be told. We remember her success against the ERA mostly because it's the exception to her lengthy string of failures.

Glorious news! Schlafly was human garbage. The world just got a little bit better today! Smiley

Roll Eyes at people mourning her. She was a rape supporter who literally said:

Quote
You must be logged in to read this quote.

Then again, the weirdos who are upset over her death ITT include Classic Conservative, a 12 year old who, just yesterday, called for genocide of all Muslim inhabitants of Istanbul to make room for Christians to create an "independent Christian nation" and notorious white supremacist troll Santander, so they probably agree with that quote.

Glad she's dead.
I'm not 12.

That's your only response? Really?

A shame she didn't live to see Trump's defeat.

I'm sorry, but I don't want to go out of my way to make an effort to celebrate someone's death. I didn't for Thatcher, I didn't for Scalia, and I won't for this sorry specimen.

I hoped Osama had repented before his death and said a prayer for his soul on the chance that he made it past the Brig o' Dread (abnormal).

She endorsed Walter Jones in his primary, which was FF-ish.

RIP HP

And yeah, there's no point in celebrating someone's death. I don't blame workers who have been personally hurt by Thatcher's policies for doing so, but that's a very specific case.

Phyllis has actually spent like the last decade suing her family members attempting to prevent them from using the Schlafly name for their bottleworks. She was recently ruled against in patent court.

One of her offspring created the hilarious Conservapedia, so there's that.

I know you're branch of Christianity isn't exactly mainstream BRTD, but you do know that's the expected response for most Christians right?
