I don't remember Ft. Lauderdale TOO well, but I KNOW that Miami was trash.

I found Ft Lauderdale easy to get in and out, though the shuttle stand at the terminal was oddly placed. Nonetheless it would be my preference if my destination was south FL. However Miami is a bigger hub with more options if one is just using the airport to change planes.
