I suggest a compromise solution:

The MN GOP can still have ballot access, but if Trump somehow wins Minnesota, his electors are required to vote for John Ewards.

Imagine if this was Florida or Ohio. Trump would go freaking insane.

The state Democratic Party is actually taking the unusual process by which alternate republican electors were selected to court:

The Democrat Party: the party of voter suppression -- to the extreme.

I expect that if the MN Supreme Court kicks Trump off the ballot, the SCOTUS will put him back on.  Recent decisions on ballot access and voter laws indicate a bias for maximizing voter access and choices (a position I heartily endorse, FWIW.)  They're not going to let a major party candidate be left off a state ballot due to a technicality -- which, let's face it, this is.

Case Dismissed, Trump will remain on the ballot.

DFL sued too late; who knows what would have happened if they'd filed two weeks ago.

Damn, but the DFLosers have been terrible since they exploited Wellstone's death for political gain.

Yeah if you mean holding every statewide office and having never lost a statewide election in ten years to be terrible...

More terrible as in extremely distasteful.

It's fair. Hopefully the DFL candidates in competitive races there will be able to win on their own merits.

Agreed. Let the republicans do the vote suppression. Dems should stay well clear of that.
