No. Romney was too bland and boring. Trump, despite the fact that he's a narcissistic misogynistic fascist at the minimum, manages to keep everyone entertained and has made Saturday Night Live great again Smiley

Of course. What an obvious question!

Yes. I may have fundamental disagreements with Romney over policy positions but his personal integrity and qualification to serve as president was never in question.

No. Trump's Republican Party is a logical conclusion of the direction GOP was taking for decades, with "nice moderates" like Romney as their standard-bearers.

"Qualification".

His only "qualification" were four years as Governor, two of which he spent on flipping on everything in preparation to run for President.

One of the most incredible things Trump has done is he has made individuals with an actual legislative record of being far-right palatable. That being said, ff Romney ran like a MA gov he was, we'd be fine.

Willard Romney was a wealthy narcissist with a noticable lack of concrete positions - consistently adapting with the primary and shifting towards the center in the general. He promoted the repeal of a healthcare bill nearly identical to his own, and as such, seemed to walk away from his experience as governor. His austere economic policies would have dealt a serious blow to the working class and his embrace of the ruling elite and condescending attitude towards the poor (coded 47%) indicated whom he intended to serve if elected.

That being said, Romney would have been a safer bet with the nuclear codes than Trump, and would have been more reluctant to engage in overseas excursions than Clinton.
