Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am honored to stand before you today, having taken my oath, as Vice President of Atlasia. I look forward to working with the Senate during my upcoming term.

Firstly, I would like to thank the President for selecting me as his running mate. I was proud to campaign alongside him, and I am now proud to serve alongside him.

Secondly, I wish to thank Senator Gabu for his service as President pro tempore. His eight month tenure has been marked by diligent and honorable service on his part. Pursuant to statute, a vote on a new President pro tempore will be held next week. The precise date is not specified by law; I will open the vote according to the desires of Senators. I would request all Senators who wish to become President pro tempore to declare their candidacies in a timely manner.

May I also congratulate Secretary TrueDemocrat, Judge Al, Ebowed, WMS, and Supersoulty on being selected for the Cabinet? I look forward to working with all of them during my term.

However, Gabu has only been PPT for six months (since February 1 roughly) and can therefore serve two more months as PPT, if so desired.

Really? He had suggested to me that he had been PPT for eight months in a PM. Oh well, I probably misread.

No, what I said was that I will have been PPT for eight months at the end of August (assuming they're not tired of me yet Smiley).  Sorry for the confusion.
