Why are you citing the man who said Hillary was pimping out her daughter in 08.  One of the stupidest journalists out there.  And that is saying something.

He is a journalist at MSNBC, not an anonymous twitter source.
I know, which is why I said he was really stupid.

A lot of HRC's support is anti-Trump. Trump is bringing himself down more than HRC is propping herself up.

People's opinions won't change because HRC got sick. If anything, it could create some sympathy for her because she's still campaigning hard while debilitated with such an unfortunate disease.

This is Atlas, between panicking Democrats and thirsty Trumpites ... I'm surprised it hasn't hit 20.

Could the title of this be changed to "Democrats to Allegedly Consider Replacing Clinton as Nominee"?

This is the most honest thing to do at the moment given a lot of people are just trying to take advantage of the noise.

The only acceptable replacement for Clinton as the Democratic nominee is President Obama. Unfortunately, America is not worthy.

Come on, they're so excited and happy! An older lady is sick, what isn't there to be thrilled about!

So what are the consequences for Shuster when none of this happens?

Don't get me wrong, I love the OP but even I find this too weak a story to use as bait against the Clinton-cult. Personally, the card I'd play is that Trump is intentionally wearing down Hillary because of his profound ability to manipulate conditions and exploit them Tongue.

His stellar reputation of reporting on Hillary pimping out her daughter will be tarnished.

The replacement would have to be Kaine given that he was Clinton's VP pick.  I don't see how one could justify any other replacement, so I'm very skeptical of this source.

What if instead of this hurting her, like many are speculating while in a panic, this could help her? A candidate who has given it her all most of her life, who caught pneumonia 2 weeks before the debate yet kept campaigning and attended the 9/11 memorial, and came back from the sickness.

It would be quite an impressive feat along with that 11-hour testimony. It would certainly appeal to America's cultural work-ethic roots, and everyone loves a story of challenge, perseverance, and recovery even in the worst of adversities.

When I predicted that Trump would wear Hillary down by using her vulnerability (intense fear of losing-once to some nobody with a name that sound like Osama and now to this guy) and her well known history of health problems to exhaust her, I didn't have this in mind. Imagine how he'll drive Putin mad. It's like he's the embodiment of the 48 Laws of Power.

You're seriously attributing this to Trump? lol. He'll drive Putin mad with happiness by handing America over to him.

David Shuster, the guy who said dems were gonna drop Hillary before the convention? The guy who said an indictment was certain? A guy who has made up exit polls in the primary? That David Shuster?

C'mon, it's just a contingency meeting.  They'd be utterly remiss if they didn't at least do some contingency planning at this point.  No need to freak out over it.

That said, just go all in on Virginia and make it Jim Webb / Tim Kaine ticket.  That would win about 48 states.  That would actually get me to vote D for the first time in my life.

I'm pretty sure that was the Democrat talking point on one of the pro-Clinton News Networks.

The debates are on the same day as the first 1960 Presidential Debate. Richard Nixon got a knee infection in late August and spent two weeks off the campaign. Hillary gets a lung infection a two weeks from the debate (who knows if she stays off the trail). I doubt this will help her and it won't play the sympathy card. She lied to everybody about her health saying she had nothing wrong when she had pneumonia.
