Like myself, I know most people have a lot of songs they like and love, but what would you say is the single song you like and love more than any?

For me, its Times Like These by the Foo Fighters. It's probably been my favourite song since I first heard it back in 2002-2003.

I haven't been able to choose between songs in different languages. They're just too different.

My favorite English-language song is Imitation of Life by REM.

For me this is the sound of growing up.  I remember listening to this in the backseat of a minivan watching the snow-covered trees roll by on my way out to some competition or other my freshman year of high school.

Lady in Black by Uriah Heep.

We played this song from 1970 at school in 2006 and since then it is my single biggest favorite song. I downloaded probably more than 40 cover versions from YouTube since a few years.

It's not a song per se, but it's the best 4 minutes in music for me.

Impossible to narrow it down to 1, but I'll try...hmmm...I might would say Bible Belt by Dry the River, but it looks weird to name a song about alcoholism as my sole favorite...I'll go with Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Now that's a great song, although my musical tastes are where I'd probably name 20 radically different songs as my "favorite" at different times.

I love that song and the music video is great. I watch it on occasion. It was the first song I ever "downloaded", if you know what I mean. I ended up ripping the CD from a friend shortly after.

I'm a big fan of Alice in Chains. That's a good song, but not my favourite from them.

Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams or Maņana by Jimmy Buffett.

I like that song, although I don't generally admit it. There're a lot of songs from 1984 in my playlist. A few ago, I got really into 80s music (though mostly the hair bands like Van Halen and Def Leppard). It might have been a terrible year politically, but at least there was a lot of good music (and movies for that matter).

It's pretty much impossible to have a favourite song that lasts for more than a month or so right?  My first thought was, well, what song have I listened to the most in my life on purpose?  I have no freaking clue.  It could be one of hundreds of songs.  Probably something by Aerosmith, like Last Child or Back in the Saddle, but neither of those would be my favorite song.  So, seems to me it would need to be the most talented of my top several bands (The Who), at their prime (so something off of Tommy, Quadrophenia or Who's Next) that showcases the writing and the playing and is fun to listen to or sing.  Won't Get Fooled Again or Behind Blue Eyes is the likely answer.  At least this month.
